Richard Brooks – Co-founder & Director
Richard has 14 years of experience in PPC. After graduating with a Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, he started working at online lingerie retailer figleaves.com in 2002. Here, he grew the then new PPC channel to spend 7-figure budgets internationally, dividing his time between London and New York offices. He joined platform integrator eCommera in 2007 to set up and run PPC marketing capability on behalf of platform clients such as House of Fraser and Arcadia Group. Together with Chris Dillabough he founded Kinase in 2010.
Chris Dillabough – Co-founder & Director
Chris graduated with a Masters in English Language & Literature from the University of Oxford in 1995. After that, he trained in journalism at Hendon Times Newspaper Group in North London and helped set up the first digital newspaper editions in 1999. He joined the internet business magazine New Media Age in 2001 where he covered online advertising, taking a particular interest in the fast-growing search marketing field. After that he moved to figleaves.com as a Business Analyst in 2004 before moving into the marketing department to support Richard in PPC management. In 2007 he joined eCommera, where he worked until he founded Kinase.
Becky James – Senior Account Manager
Becky started out as an Account Executive but has now become one of our Senior Account Managers. Becky came to us with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics with Forensic Applications from Nottingham Trent University. While completing her studies, she worked as a General Assistant at Fish Guidance Systems, where she conducted complex research projects as well as developing email marketing campaigns. Becky loves travelling and watersports and is especially a fan of surfing and kayaking. She once had dinner with a Navajo tribe in Monument Valley!
Chris Boyd – PPC Account Director
Chris also started working with Kinase as a PPC Executive. Besides managing some of our biggest client accounts, Chris is also our Adwords scripts specialist. Chris finished studying back in 2012, where he completed his degree in English Literature at Portsmouth University. After university, he spent three months in India as a teaching volunteer. Then he started working at a Lead Gen agency as a PPC Analyst, before joining Kinase. Chris does Savate (which is French kickboxing) and loves to travel overseas. Once in India, he actually jumped off a moving train!
Edmund Hardy – PPC Account Director
Edmund has been with Kinase since 2011. As an Account Director at Kinase, Edmund works with high-profile retailers on PPC strategy, account development and brand planning. Before he started with us he managed PPC and ecommerce for the Flying Brands Group. He has a background in Anthropology, in which he has a Bachelor’s Degree, and a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. His name actually means ‘Edge-hand’ in Anglo-Saxon – good with a sword – which is always useful for digital marketing!
Hayley Nicholls – Senior Account Manager
Hayley began working with us as a PPC Executive. Hayley’s role includes a combination of search engine account management, maintenance and data analysis alongside routine reporting and client communication. Hayley graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in psychology. Before she went into PPC she worked as a swimming teacher and a sports coach but is now full time dedicated to PPC here at Kinase. However, she still spends a lot of her spare time doing different kinds of sports, which both includes cycling, swimming, rowing and doing yoga.
Amin Awdish – Account Manager
Amin works as an Account Executive here at Kinase and he came to us with a degree in Mathematics from University College London. Amin is fluent in Arabic and English and has lived in Jordan, Ghana, California and Texas. Before Amin started working at Kinase he worked in Ghana for Sollatek, where he worked in Sales & Marketing. When Amin is not working, he plays a lot of tennis and travels as much as possible. So far he has visited over 20 countries spread across four continents.
David Reed – Account Manager
David joined Kinase as one of our Account Executives after he graduated from the University of East Anglia with a Master’s Degree in Mathematics. In his spare time, David spends a lot of time playing Korfball for local team Supernova. He is also a skilled drummer and guitarist and has fronted and played in numerous bands as well as a solo performer. Once, he even joined a blues jam in Nashville whilst travelling!
James Monaghan – PPC Account Director
James is one of our Account Directors here at Kinase and he manages one of our bigger accounts. James previously worked at The Knowledge Academy for almost two years, where he worked as an Account Manager, being responsible for running their account. James enjoys working at Kinase as the agency promotes learning and productivity and at the same time he appreciates the work environment and his colleagues.
Amber L’Estrange – Account Manager
Amber enjoys working in digital marketing because it is so responsive and precise and because it allows you to target specific people with highly relevant and useful content. Before Amber joined Kinase she worked at The Knowledge Academy as a Digital Marketing Executive and when Amber is not at work she sings in an acoustic duo at events and weddings. She also has two rabbits that are basically her children in Amber’s own words.
Anja Tugrul – Account Executive
Anja is originally from Slovenia, where she studied Marketing at Faculty of Economics. She also holds a DMI Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing. Before joining Kinase, Anja worked as a Digital Content Management Coordinator. Now she is an Account Executive here at Kinase and she enjoys working with PPC, especially because it gives you plenty of data to work with. Anja often goes on weekend trips to European cities and her goal is to visit all European countries!
Andy Robinson – Account Executive
Andy works as an Account Executive here at Kinase and he came to us with a degree in History from Newcastle University. He both loves mining deep into the data and the creative aspect of PPC. Andy is a sports mad person and a huge rugby fan, which he also plays on the weekend for London Welsh amateurs and then he loves going to watch England play at their national stadium, Twickenham.
Katie Mason – Account Executive
Katie joined Kinase as one of our Account Executives after finishing her Actuarial Science Bachelor’s Degree from London School of Economics. She is fascinated by the psychology behind advertising and what it is that drives people to respond positively to adverts. After graduating, Katie took a 4-month solo trip to Asia, visiting Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, where she spent several weeks volunteering at an English language school. She often attempt cooking favourite food from abroad though with mixed success (in Katie’s own words, not ours).
Navrit Johal – Senior Account Manager
Navrit has a degree in Business Management (Finance) from the University of Westminster. She has been working in online marketing since 2006 and in media agencies since 2010. Before joining Kinase, Navrit has worked at iProspect and Maxus, on some high profile PPC/performance marketing accounts across various verticals. She is an experienced digital marketer who enjoys the fast pace and ever-changing nature of the digital marketing world. In her spare time, Navrit likes to read, travel, cook and discover new things.
Ellie Bussell – Account Executive
Ellie studied chemistry at the University of Bristol and loved it so much that she stayed there for her Master’s. Needing to rest her brain she went travelling in Asia and then South America before joining us here at Kinase. Ellie likes PPC because of the mix between handling massive amounts of data and creatively optimising and problem solving for the best results! In her spare time Ellie loves cooking (and eating!), horse riding, hiking and travelling as much as she can manage.
Manvinder Dosanjh – Account Executive
Manvinder studied Economics at the University of Nottingham but is also the sporty type, enjoying to play football and tennis. He prides himself on being a captain a 7-a-side football team on weekends. He is drawn to the dynamic nature of the online advertising industry. He finds identifying trends from large datasets an interesting and curious aspect of marketing.
Sheila Puertollano – PPC Account Director
Sheila has been working in digital marketing for over nine years now but she is convinced that one can never get bored of it, as it brings constant change. Her background is a mix of agency side and brand side experiences. Her most recent position – before taking a brief sabbatical to go traveling around Asia & the Pacific – was heading the paid search team for a well-known high street retailer. She followed Advertising & Public Relations at University in Spain and a few years later she got her Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing. She is a fan of travelling, good food and good wine. She actually used to be an indoor cycling instructor, so she still enjoys doing that every once in a while.
Surina Bhabuta – Account Executive
Surina has just graduated from Aston University in Birmingham, studying Business Management. She previously worked at TopCashback as a Marketing Executive, involving in many campaigns that focused on email communications and market research. She has presently moved back to Watford having graduated and is currently working as an Account Executive at Kinase. She enjoys working with PPC very much as it allows her to be investigative and creative in terms of finding the best results. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, dancing and socialising.
Dan Young – Senior Account Manager
Dan comes from Australia and worked in PPC/CRO specialist roles with Web Profits but also with Biz Wisdom. He spent a few years in the health industry as a Myotherapist (which is essentially an advanced remedial massage therapist). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and simply loves traveling, red wine and anything sports related. Part of being Australian obviously involves being a big fan of Aussie Rules Football. He loves marketing because he thinks that everything is measurable and happens virtually in real time, being able to view and report on the exact results his digital efforts are making to an organisation at any given point in time, as well as identify and rectify any obvious areas for improvement.
Alexandra Apostol – HR administrator
Alexandra studied Sociology and Social Sciences at the University of Bucharest, Romania. She started her work experience back home, where she filled various customer service related roles in the Telekom and IT industry for 3 years and then settled down in London last year in May when she thought a small change of perspective would be of great benefit for future prospects. She previously worked in retail as part of a big furniture brand here in London but was looking to develop a career in HR as this was always a big passion for her. She is a nature and animal lover, enjoys all kinds of cuisines and trying out recipes herself and always exploring new places. The best thing about digital marketing on her opinion is that it will always be an innovative environment where one can develop its tech-savvy but also creative side.
Emma Blackshaw – Account Executive
Emma has recently joined us as a PPC Executive after graduating from the University of Exeter with a Bsc in Mathematics. Emma loves digital marketing’s dynamic nature and need for creative problem solving. In her spare time, Emma enjoys playing sports, reading, and trying out new food. Emma also has a keen interest in travel, different cultures and languages. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan, and speaks French, Dutch and German to a high standard.
Charlie Chester – Account Executive
Charlie has joined Kinase as an Account Executive after completing his Management Degree at York University. He loves working in PPC as he enjoys using data to create new insights, as well as the fast-paced, dynamic nature of the industry. Charlie is a music lover and plays bass in a number of different bands. He also enjoys playing squash, cooking, and playing darts.
Agustin Prats – Paid Social Manager
Agustin is our Paid Social Manager. He is originally from Malaga, Spain, where he finished his studies in History, a subject that he loves. Writing is something he enjoys, so is technology, which is his other great passion. Because of that, he started working in this industry two years ago in Hull, Yorkshire. Since then he got himself into few other projects. Now he wants to master blockchain, so recently has started his latest personal project, “Experto Blockchain” – a newspaper purely focused on this technology, its present and its future.
Sofia Harman – Account Executive
Sofia has joined Kinase as a PPC Account Executive after having graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA in Anthropology. She loves the diverse nature of PPC and is excited to build relationships with clients and work on their accounts. She has a very mixed background, having lived in the USA and The Netherlands and she is fluent in both English and Spanish, as well as having a very high standard of French. Before joining Kinase, Sofia went travelling to Peru and she is keen to go back to Latin America as soon as she can find the time!
Kristin Hammer – Account Executive
Kristin has joined Kinase as a PPC Account Executive after working in the Marketing team of a big financial services company in London. She is originally from Vienna, Austria and is fluent in German and English. Kristin loves PPC because it is results driven, massively continuing to grow and can help businesses to easily expand. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys horse-riding, running, yoga, travelling, literature and spending time in nature.
Andrew Arnett – Account Manager
Andrew has worked in digital marketing for 3 years, across a variety of channels, including both paid and organic activity. He soon specialised in PPC, managing accounts including RAC and HSBC Group before joining Kinase in October 2017. In 2014, Andrew graduated with a Bachelors’ in Sociology with a specialism in Social Policy from the University of Warwick, which is where his interest in quantitative data began – it is the ability to leverage this data optimise activity and drive efficiencies that excites him most. In his spare time, Andrew can often be found in the kitchen, playing football or at music gigs.
Sheda Qadery – Account Executive
Sheda’s experience involves mentoring schools in disadvantaged areas across London. She has also tutored GCSE English, preparing her tutees for their final year exams. She studied her undergraduate degree in BA History at SOAS University and graduated in 2016. Following this, she completed her master’s degree in Violence, Conflict and Development. She enjoys reading about current affairs and keeping up to date with global news. During her spare time, she likes painting and visiting new places. In regards to PPC, Sheda likes its flexibility as it allows her to work with data whilst being creative at the same time.
Max Lester – PPC Account Director
Max joined Kinase as an Account Director, having worked across agency and client side roles within digital for the past 4 years. Most recently, he was at neo@Ogilvy working on their figurehead client and working on growing new, smaller clients. Max studied Mechanical Engineering at UCL, after which came the obvious career switch to digital marketing. He plays the guitar regularly for a London-based metal band, travelling around England and is semi-fluent in Swedish.
Jordan Brand – Account Executive
Jordan has graduated with a degree in Pharmacology from Southampton, but before starting a career with Kinase took time out to travel south-east Asia and Europe and worked as an assistant manager of a bar. Travelling is something he is very passionate about and he would love to eventually visit every country. His spare time is taken up by running, reading and researching into new music acts. He wanted to join PPC because he says it allows him to flex the creative parts of his brain along with the mathematical/data-driven parts.
